April Explore Week - Last Chance!

Hello Pine Hill & South Bay Families,

The Explore Program will be open for students during Spring Break, April 13th-17th, from 7:45am to 5:30pm at the Pine Hill Campus for ALL GRADES (TK-6TH). The South Bay Campus will be closed.

Many families already signed up when they turned in their February registration form. If your child was not signed up for February, but you would like to sign them up for the April Explore Week, now is your last chance!

The form is available on our website or in the front office at both campuses.

6th Grade Wolf Creek Meeting

ATTENTION 6th GRADE PARENTS!

This year, the 6th grade gets the pleasure of going to Wolf Creek! Ms. Rumbel's class will be attending 4/20-4/22, and Ms. Swingseth's class 5/27-5/29. There will be a parent meeting on March 31st at 5:30 in room 14. This meeting is to help inform parents what their students do, and do not need to bring for this 2-night, 3-day camp. We will also go over expectations and any other questions you may have. See you soon!

New PH & SB Swag for 2025-26

We have changed and updated our school swag for this school year. Items can be purchased in our online store and will be shipped directly to your home. You can choose your favorite shirt, sweatshirt, hat, bag or other apparel and then chose from Pine Hill or South Bay logos. Check out your options at https://www.southbayspiritwear.com/

South Bay Explore Openings

South Bay has openings for after school in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Please see the website below for a link to registration, or pick one up in the office!

Lunch on the Lawn & Quad

This year we will continue our tradition of having Lunch on the Lawn at Pine Hill on the 4th Friday of the month. Lunch on the Quad at South Bay will be on the 3rd Friday of the month. Be sure to mark your calendars now and watch for reminders in our newsletters!

UPDATE YOUR STUDENT INFORMATION IN AERIES

As we begin the new school year, it’s important that we have the most up-to-date information for every student. We kindly ask all families to complete the Aeries Data Confirmation process as soon as possible.

By completing Data Confirmation, you will:

Review and update emergency contacts and medical information
Confirm important school and district policies
Approve required forms, including technology use and media release
Ensure you receive the latest school updates and communications

The process is quick, secure, and can be done from any device:

Go to https://southbayuesd.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx
Log in with your parent account.
Click on Data Confirmation and follow the prompts.
Be sure to complete the process for each of your children.

Completing this step not only helps us keep accurate records, but also makes sure your child has uninterrupted access to school resources, schedules, and communication.

If you need additional support to start your school year off right the FRC is here to help! call 707-445-5933, or stop by either campus.

The FRC is able to help with:

school supplies and clothing
Friday Food Bag slots are currently open
Diapers sizes 1-5 are available
Preschool playgroup starting soon

South Bay Union School District is proud to offer breakfast, recess snacks and lunch for free for all students at Pine Hill and South Bay schools! Breakfast is provided before school in both cafeterias, snacks offered at recess and lunch during scheduled lunch times. Please be sure to check the menu to know what will be served during the week.
